Manual Therapy

Where Science Meets Skill

With over a decade of experience and extensive training in manual therapy, we take a hands on approach to helping you move better.

Our manual therapy approach utilizes a systematic evaluation to determine what tissues are involved allowing for specific joint mobilizations, soft-tissue and myo-fascial work as well as a variety of taping techniques to help you move your best. Joint and spinal mobilization are safe and effective ways for your therapist to help you move stiff or painful joints.

We also offer a variety of soft tissue and myo-fasdcial techniques including Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) as well as myofascial decompression and cupping. These techniques create space within the tissue layers for improved gliding and mobility, improve the pain associated with trigger points, improve blood flow and create a change to the neuromuscular system which allows for improved mobility and pain relief.

Therapeutic (Corrective) Exercise

Specific, Safe and Simple

Every human should have the toolbox to fix themselves. Our goal is to provide you with those tools.

Our approach utilizes a variety of methods including segmental stabilization techniques, postural training, self mobilizations, self release of soft tissues/fascia, breath work and proprioceptive training.

We only prescribe exercises that can be done at home with minimal to no equipment necessary.

Bike Fitting

Optimize Your Ride

Bike fitting is the process of determining and implementing an ideal position on a bicycle. An ideal position varies from cyclist to cyclist. A bike fit can be done as a preventative measure to avoid injury or as a means of treating an injured cyclist by reducing stress on injured structures. It can also be focused on providing a cyclist with optimal aerodynamics and power. Ideally, every fit should make your position more efficient and safe.

The process starts with a full physical/biomechanical examination and discussion of current symptoms on the bike. Then, a laser alignment system is set up while you ride on a trainer to observe joint measurements, postures and asymmetries in different planes of motion. There is constant feedback throughout the process to help adjust your riding and bike position.

Running Analysis

Running injuries are common…too common.

Our goal is to assess your stride and provide actionable changes that can be made immediately. Running gait analysis includes video analysis and feedback to the runner.

This assessment allows us to make changes in a runners stride through postural training, running drills specific to the runner’s “faults”, cadence optimization, specific strength and/or mobility work to improve form and reduce injury.
